Your privacy is important to Finances for Feminists, LLC. (“Company,” “us,” “our,” or “we”) and we need to collect certain information to provide our services to you. Please read this Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) to understand how we collect, use, and/or share your Personal Information (as defined below) when you visit, browse, and/or make a purchase from our website located at www.financesforfeminists.com (the “Site(s)”) or participate in any of the coaching offerings. Please note that this Privacy Policy does not govern any third-party websites and services that may be linked from the Site(s).

1. COLLECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION.

Unless expressly noted otherwise, we do not collect personally identifiable information from users of our Site(s) or participants in our coaching offerings. When you visit our Site(s), some information about your computer hardware and software is inherently automatically collected, such as your IP address, domain name, browser type, access time and referring website addresses. We typically do not use this information for any purpose, but an example of when we may use this information is in implementing improvements and analyzing the Site(s) and for troubleshooting purposes. We also utilize this information to monitor and improve services and to ensure that your use of the Site(s) is in compliance with our Terms of Service. Most of our services do not require any form of registration, allowing you to visit the Site(s) without telling us who you are. However, some services, such as email opt-ins may require you to provide us with Personal Data. In such a case, you may choose to without any Personal Data requested by us, but it may not be possible for you to gain access to certain parts of the site or content. We require only the information that is reasonably required to enter into a contract with you. We will not require you to provide consent for any unnecessary processing as a condition of entering into a contract with us.

(A) ORDER INFORMATION

To make a purchase through the Site(s), you will be required to provide certain information so that we can complete your purchase, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information, email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

How We May Use Your Order Information:

  • To send you invoices, order confirmations, and/or relevant course links.

  • To process your payment information and arrange shipment of your order.

  • To communicate with you about your purchase.

  • To administer promotions or giveaways that you have entered.

  • To screen our orders for potential risk or fraud.

(B) CONTACT INFORMATION

When you use the Site(s), there are several opportunities for you to interact with us, such as contacting us via the Contact Form or emailing us directly. When you do so, we may collect and use your name, email address, and any other information you voluntarily provide to us so that we can respond to you (“Contact Information”). 

How We May Use Your Contact Information:

  • To respond to the questions and inquiries you sent to us. 

  • If you are a subscriber, to send you occasional marketing newsletters and other email updates about us (“Newsletters”). For instructions on how to opt-out of receiving Newsletters, please see Section 5.

  • To administer promotions or giveaways that you have entered.

  • To approve your comments and prevent spam if you are trying to comment on our blog articles.

2. SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES

(A) SERVICE PROVIDERS

Like most companies, we use tools from third party service providers to help us with some or all of our business through the Site(s) (“Service Providers”), and depending on the service we need, these Service Providers may have access to your Personal Information. For example, we use a Service Provider’s email software to manage our Newsletter subscriptions, and if you provide us your email address to subscribe to the Newsletter, then your email address will be shared with that Service Provider. We also use Service Providers for the following purposes:

  • To host the Site(s).

  • To process your orders and payment information.

  • To deliver emails and newsletters.

  • To offer classes.

  • To help us conduct web analytics on the Site(s).

  • To collect payment for services and/or orders.

We do not have direct control over how Service Providers use your Personal Information, and we cannot guarantee that our Service Providers will use your Personal Information as required in our contract with them. For this reason, we are not responsible for our Service Providers’ misuse of your Personal Information. The Service Providers may have their own privacy policies; which will govern their use of your Personal Information.

(B) BUSINESS TRANSFERS

As we continue to develop our business, we may reorganize as a business entity, acquire entities, subsidiaries or business units, or enter into joint ventures with third parties. In any of these types of transactions, any information you provide may be one of the transferred business assets (subject to any pre-existing privacy notice unless you consent otherwise). In the event that all or substantially all of our assets are acquired, or we merge with a third-party, your information will likely be one of the transferred assets. You understand and agree that we reserve the right to transfer any information collected from you in the case of any such transfer. In such event, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

(C) LEGAL

We may disclose information you provide to respond to subpoenas, court orders, requests from authorities and other legal processes, and to establish/exercise our legal rights. We may also disclose your information to defend against legal claims when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request. We may share your information in order to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, and situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Service, or as otherwise required by law.

3. COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

(A) TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We and our Service Providers use tracking technologies such as cookies, local storage, web beacons, pixel tags, tokens, widgets, etc. (“Tracking Technology”), to conduct analytics and to optimize the Site(s) functionality and performance. We may use both session cookies (which expire when you close out of your browser) and persistent cookies (which stay on your browser until deleted).

(B) WHAT ARE COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?

Tracking Technologies are small data files that are stored on your Device by a website you visit. Commonly, companies use cookies on their websites to identify visitors, to remember visitors’ preferences, to better understand how visitors use and interact with the website, and to keep visitors logged into their accounts while they navigate the website. Cookies are either first-party cookies, which belong to the domain you are visiting, or third-party cookies, which are set by and belong to a different domain than the one that you’re currently visiting.

(C) YOUR CONTROL OVER COOKIES

In some cases, a third party might give you the ability to opt-out of receiving their cookies. Please review the third party’s privacy policy and/or cookie policy for more information. You can also control how cookies are used by updating your browser settings to accept or refuse all or certain types of cookies. If you choose to reject certain cookies, please note that the Site(s) and/or some of its features may not function properly. 4. DO NOT TRACK

Please note that we do not alter our Site(s)’ data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

5. OPTING OUT OF OR UNSUBSCRIBING

If you wish to unsubscribe from receiving communications, you can click on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email. You may also continue to receive emails unrelated to marketing.

6. THIRD PARTIES AND THEIR POLICIES

Throughout the Site(s), you may see links to third-party websites or applications. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party sites, and when accessing their sites, we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

7. DATA RETENTION

How long we store your Personal Information will depend on the purpose that we originally collected it. We will not retain Personal Information for longer than is necessary for our legitimate business interests or to comply with legal requirements. 8. SECURITY

The security of your Personal Information is important to us. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect your information, both during transmission and once it is received. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. While no security system is completely secure, we and our Service Providers take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access or disclosure of the information collected by us.

9. MINORS

Our Site(s) are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. If you are under 18, you may only use the Site(s) under the supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not collect or maintain information from anyone known to be under the age of 18, and no part of this website is designed to attract anyone under the age of 18. We do not sell products or services intended for purchase by children. If we discover or are otherwise notified that we have received any such information from a child in violation of this policy, we will delete that information.

10. ACCESSING, MANAGING, AND/OR UPDATING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

11. FOR CUSTOMERS IN THE EUROPEAN UNION

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access Personal Information we retain and to ask that your Personal Information be corrected, updated, or deleted. You additionally have the right to receive a copy of the Personal Information we have about you. Additionally, if you are a European resident, we note that we are processing your Personal Information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site(s)), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests, such as direct marketing, to prevent fraud, and to conduct analytics on the Site(s).

If you believe your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)have been violated, you may file a complaint with the supervisory authority of your country of residence. 12. CHANGES

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. If we decide to change this Privacy Policy, we will update the date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

13. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

This Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service and if applicable any separate contract entered into by you with the company, together with any policies or operating rules posted by us on our site constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between you and us and govern your use of the Site(s), superseding any prior or contemporaneous agreements or communications regarding our privacy policy, whether oral or written, between you and us (including, but not limited to, any prior versions).
